One unique site-specific work now adorns the Museum Reinhard Ernst in Wiesbaden, appearing as if it has always belonged there. This location, personally chosen by the museum founder, Reinhard Ernst, provides the perfect setting for the sculpture duo Pair<\/em>, allowing it to integrate effortlessly with the building’s architecture.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In 2020, Reinhard Ernst visited Tony Cragg in his studio, marking the beginning of a special collaboration to create a bespoke piece for the Museum Reinhard Ernst. While many works exhibited at the museum already come from the founder\u2019s collection, several pieces have been specially commissioned for the new building\u2014including the bronze sculpture, Pair<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Tony Cragg designed this artwork for a multi-story niche within the museum. But how does such a towering sculpture come to life? The following film provides insight into its creation:<\/p>\n

After approximately a year of work by Tony Cragg and his team, the sculpture Pair<\/em> was delivered to the Museum Reinhard Ernst in May 2021. The massive, over-six-meter-tall, multi-ton components were carefully hoisted and installed while the building was still under construction.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

In the heart of Wuppertal lies a hidden gem: the Waldfrieden Sculpture Park, created by artist Tony Cragg.
