Ines Gutierrez, as the head of retail and the person responsible for its concept, we are curious to find out: what inspired you to design a granite collection?<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the construction of the building progressed and the fa\u00e7ade was gradually being covered with its beautiful dress of Bethel White granite we wondered what to do with the offcuts that started to pile up on the building site.<\/p>\n

The Bethel White granite slabs were quite thin compared to the thickness of the Cape Green Granit offcuts used for the museum\u2019s ground floor, so we developed a collection of items that would allow for these differences and still work and complement each other in a range.<\/p>\n

How did you find the right manufacturer for processing these specific materials?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It took quite a bit of research and some luck to find a maker that had the machinery required to work with the material and an eye for design to create what has now become our signature Granite Collection.<\/p>\n

Pietre Trovanti<\/a> is an artisan designer based in Northern Italy who developed the collection, understanding to perfection the intricacies of the material at hand and the museum\u2019s architectural style.<\/p>\n

What makes the products of the range stand out?<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a minimalist design and yet with a high-end finish, each item is unique and available in a limited edition.<\/p>\n

My personal favourite is the granite vase, but I am also fond of the candle holder\u2019s versatility and love the pure lines of the letter holders. It is a truly original collection which makes a perfect gift for architecture lovers or anyone who would like to take a piece of our museum home!<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\t
