They understood very well how to translate Nay\u2019s unique style onto a scarf without simply replicating the artist\u2019s painting onto a woven material. Developing a scarf inspired by Nay\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.museum-re.de\/en\/art\/reinhard-ernst-collection\/objects\/chromatische-scheiben\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Chromatische Scheiben <\/em><\/a>did come though with its own challenges, since the circle as a compositional motif is crucial to this painting, and it is quite a challenge to translate it using the jacquard weaving technique!<\/p>\n<p>We are delighted with the result though: it is a great unisex accessory, colourful and elegant, ideal to add a touch of colour to a grey winter\u2019s day.<\/p>\n<p>To complement our 100% merino wool scarf inspired by Nay, we added a selection of other beautiful accessories by Wallace and Sewell and Koda, a Dutch brand which upcycles fabric leftovers from upholsterers to create a fantastic range of bags.<\/p>\n<p>We invite you to browse our exclusive products and more at your leisure in our <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.museum-re.de\/en\/shopartikel\/accessoires\/mre-schal-nay\">online shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Discover our merino wool scarf, available solely in the museum shop and inspired by the vibrant colours of the artist Ernst Wilhelm Nay!
