The history of the city of Wiesbaden is brief but rich in content: in the 19th century, the city developed into a major metropolis, attracting the wealthy and becoming home to major corporations such as Dyckerhoff. In Geniestreiche aus Wiesbaden, journalist Stefan Schröder profiles eleven Wiesbaden residents who have shaped the city socially, politically and economically, and continue to do so to this day. One chapter in his book is dedicated to the Wiesbaden-based philanthropic couple Reinhard and Sonja Ernst.
