For us, it’s all about the personal art experience. Join our guided tours to discover outstanding works of abstract art from the Reinhard Ernst Collection in the light-flooded museum architecture designed by Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki.
As visitors, you already have everything you need for the artworks to have an effect on you and for a very personal response to develop – your senses, personal stories, wishes and desires. Let yourself be surprised by the experience that arises when viewing abstract art! Our education team will accompany you on this journey and invites to join in the discussion.
Our guided tours offer exciting insights into the creation of one of the world’s few museums with a collection of purely abstract art. Learn more about the mission of the founding couple, Reinhard and Sonja Ernst – to make art accessible to everyone.
You can book our tours on site or online – or request an exclusive tour for a private group.
A very special offer awaits our young art explorers!
Whether family tours or our specially tailored programme for educational groups – admission and participation in our educational programmes are free for all visitors under the age of 18!

The Colour Lab, our educational room, offers games and media stations where you can express the impressions you have gathered in the museum through visual experiments and, in some cases, full physical engagement – sometimes collaboratively, sometimes competitively.
The art education team looks forward to your visit!

If you prefer to stroll through the museum on your own, our Media Guide is always there to accompany you.
Listen to our curated tours, learn more about the artists and their works, and experience art from completely new perspectives with augmented reality.
